The opening of the new System Verification office in Sarajevo was the occasion for the gathering of many guests, including Johanna Strömquis, the Swedish ambassador to BiH.
The opening ceremony of the new office was also attended by representatives of International Burch University on behalf of the Rector's office, Ms. Jasmina Sinanovic, and the Vice-Rector for Development and Planning, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nedim Celebic.
System Verification is the largest IT independent quality control company in Sweden, founded and owned by Hamdija Jusufagic, an entrepreneur originally from BiH. The company's foundation in 2004 was followed by many successes and recognitions which has greatly contributed to the expansion of one business idea to other international markets, helping clients with the entire digital process, from counseling to quality assurance of software.
A major turnover occurred in 2013, when the company, after the Swedish market in Malmo, Gothenburg and Stockholm, opened its first office in Sarajevo, thereby providing the first jobs in the BiH market.
The System Verification Company provided an opportunity for IBU students from the Information Technology Department to do internships at their office, and after completed practice 5 IBU students became full-time employees of this highly successful company.
During the event, representatives of our university had the opportunity to talk about important topics, share experiences and proudly stand behind successful young people who were and remain part of the Burch family. Therefore, we once again justified the label of the best private and first entrepreneurial university that offers its students the possibility of employment upon graduation.
Improving business collaboration, an internship program for new generations of IBU students, and enhancing the already existing relationship between IBU and the System Verification company will be good enough reason for another meeting planned in the near future on the Burch University campus.
