The workshop was held as a part of the curriculum requirements for the practical sessions of the Translation Methods classes. The idea behind the workshop was to enable students to practice the “touch typing” and give them an introductory training to fast typing so as to prepare them for the demands of the translation field.
The workshop was held by Minela Mustafi, a freelance engineer and one of the participants in the translation of the Linux system to Bosnian language. In her two lectures at the Department of English Language and Literature, Minela addressed the differences between Machine Translation offered and conducted by different web platforms, and gave a short course in fast typing.
Question-and-answer session held at the end of the workshop, helped students get more familiar with these two inevitable skills in the field of translation.
