In February, Dženan Medanović, MFA, and Ljubomir Tanović, MFA from the Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia went to Escola d'Art i Superior de Disseny in Castelló, Spain, where they made a tour through EASD Castellon, the city and nearby municipality El Grao de Castellon. After their tour, they attended the lectures of Benedicte Duvemay on topic of ''Political Aspects of Design.'' The day after, together with the organisers and colleagues from Universities of Warsaw, Vilnius, Valencia and Madrid, they discussed about future collaboration and projects during their lunch. Afterwards, Mr. Ljubomir held his lecture in the famous Museo de Bellas Artes (Museum of Fine Arts), as a part of 22 Days of Design conference. Day after the lecture, both Dženan and Ljubomir attended the workshop of David de la Torre from Montana Colors. They are both satisfied with how their exchange went, with the organization, the treatment they got, and they are both looking forward to furthering collaboration and similar opportunities.
In the month of April, Assoc. Prof. dr. Dejan Jokic from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering recently visited Techincal University Ostrava. This University focuses on sensor development for measuring movement of soil nearby highways, and have labs for mechatronics and embedded systems, which professor Dejan attended. He improved his knowledge in the field of mechatronics and electronics, which he plans to use during his lectures. Together with academic staff from TUO, they discussed about the future cooperation and projects, and organization of PDES conference at IBU.
Professor Amina Kozarić from the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering attended the staff week organized by University of Almeria in Spain. 49 participants from Europe, South America and Australia attended the staff week, which gave Professor Amina great oppoortunity to expand her network, to make contacts with with other institutions that are interested in cooperation with IBU. Alongside that, she also learned a lot about Erasmus+ programme, about all the benefits that students, as well as the academic staff has and the hosts. After her great visit to Spain, professor Amina will definitely share everything she has learned with her students, as well as encourage them to take part of Eramus+ exchanges.
