On 28 February, 2023, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and the Head of the Department of Banking and Finance at the International Burch University (IBU) hosted an exciting visit for around 100 fourth-year students from Srednja ekonomska škola, Sarajevo, accompanied by their teachers and pedagogue.
The students were given the opportunity to learn more about IBU, tour the campus, and participate in workshops led by professors and assistants, which included a workshop on entrepreneurship by Professor Malcolm Duerod and Mr Admir Salihagić, a workshop on the use of the Connect platform, a modern learning method by Professor Elvisa Buljubašić Mušanović, and a workshop on the LinkedIn social network by Mr Lejla Šehanović. The workshops aimed to provide the students with valuable knowledge and skills that they can use in their future academic and professional pursuits.
The event concluded with a cocktail reception, where the students and their teachers had the opportunity to network with IBU staff and faculty members. We were delighted to welcome the students and their teachers, and we believe that this visit marks the beginning of a successful collaboration between IBU and the High School of Economics in Sarajevo.
IBU is committed to fostering partnerships with educational institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond, and we look forward to future visits from high school students who are interested in learning more about the exciting opportunities that IBU has to offer.
