Students from the Department of International Relations and European Studies traveled to New York last week to attend a global NMUN conference, accompanied by professor Assist.Prof.Dr. Alija Kožljak, head of Department.
The National Model United Nations conference is the world's largest and oldest ongoing university-level Model UN conference, attracting participants from all over the world to debate current global issues.
This year's conference drew delegations from 156 countries, with International Burch University students representing Bosnia and Herzegovina. From April 10th to 14th, 2022, the conference will be held in New York, USA.
The IBU team consists of seven master's students and one undergraduate student.
In the next five days, our students will have the opportunity to work in six committees and discuss important issues in security, politics, economics, the environment, human rights, and other areas.
Aside from the conference, our delegation will participate in other activities such as meetings with UN mission representatives, delegations from other universities, and BH diaspora representatives.
International Burch University is extremely proud that our students are representing not only the university, but also our country, at this important conference.
