Workshop 3 Held At The National Polytechnic Univeristy Of Armenia In Yerevan

From 25th to 28th of January 2022, WORKSHOP 3 was organized at the National Polytechnical University of Armenia Foundation – NPUA, as part of the Work Package 3 - Capacity Building.

It was held in hybrid form, with ten representatives of European partner institutions from different countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina (International Burch University - IBU, Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar - UNMO, CUBE Design d.o.o.), Spain (University of Malaga - UMA, and Slovenia (University of Maribor - UM) being on site in Yerevan.

Activities of the workshop covered topics of development and structure of online platform as well as work on the preparation of teaching materials through individual consultations between the professors of partner and EU universities.

During this 4-day workshop, the participants visited the premises of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, hosted by prof. Gevorg Magarov, prof. Ruben Aghgahsyan, as well as Vice Rector for scientific affairs, and other colleagues and professors. Additionally, the TACEESM delegation had an opportunity to visit the National University of Architecture and Construction, where they were hosted by the Vice-Rector for international affairs Mr. Yedoyan, the Vice-Rector for academic affairs Mr. Stepanyan, the Dean of Architecture Faculty Mr. Shatvoryan. They warmly welcomed the guests and wished fruitful work during the workshop days. Mr. Yedoyan expressed a hope that the implementation of Erasmus+ "Transforming Architectural and Civil Engineering Education towards a Sustainable Model/TACEESM" project will contribute significantly to modernization of architecture and construction study programs of NUACA in alignment with modern European standards and labor market requirements. Mr. Shatvoryan underlined the importance of this project for the Architecture Faculty at NUACA. The teachers (Ms. Nanar Kalantaryan, Ms. Elvira Hakobyan, Mr. Armen Minasyan, Mr. Tigran Khachiyan, Mr. Ashot Mkhitaryan) who elaborated the syllabi for new courses within the project took part also in the meeting. The new Dissemination responsible person Ms. Lusine Harutyunyan presented shortly her functions within the project. The roles in the TACEESM project of other NUACA team members (Ms. Angin Martirosyan, Ms. Madlena Igitkhanyan, Ms. Siranush Hovhannisyan, Ms. Tatevik Barkhoyan) have been presented by I.Vanyan.

All team members expressed their satisfaction with the work done, and concluded that these activities are only an introduction, encouraging project members to take initiative and continue working individually with program country universities.
