Before the session, our guests were greeted by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović. The session was informal and encouraged students to ask many questions.
Discussion topics mostly related to lecturers’ personal experiences, which made them successful in what they do and changed their perspectives. Mr. Saračević and Mrs. Sarić presented the work of Mistral and shared the story of how Mistral was founded and what kind of profile people Mistral looks for. As Mr. Saračević highlighted, the most important thing is to have the right kind of attitude, because that is something the company cannot teach its employees. Both of the lecturers have amazing careers behind them and many inspiring stories to share. Mrs. Sarić emphasized that it is very important to love what you do. The lecturers also mentioned that formal education is important, but students need to go above and beyond in order to learn more, as the outside world is much bitter than we think. The lecturers emphasized the importance of passion, especially in entrepreneurship, and the negative effect that a wrong and toxic environment can have on each individual.
At the end, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ešref Kenan Rašidagić, handed letters of appreciation and gifts to our guests. Both Mistral and BURCH were happy that this event took place and are looking forward to further cooperation.
