NFL Linebacker Clay Matthews and HGTV Star Casey Noble List Calabasas Home for $30 Million
After nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers and one with the Los Angeles Rams, NFL linebacker Clay Matthews is currently a free agent. And with nothing tying him down, the Super Bowl champion and his wife, Casey Matthews (née Noble), a former contestant on HGTV Design Star who later hosted the network’s Design On a Dime, have listed their massive Calabasas, California home for just shy of $30 million.
The couple told the Wall Street Journal that they plan to relocate to Nashville, where Clay’s brother, also named Casey Matthews, resides. “We want the kids to grow up with their cousins,” said Casey (Clay’s wife). The home for sale is newly constructed, and was built by the Matthewses after their wedding in 2015. They’d purchased the land for $2.6 million two years earlier.
With seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, the French provincial style mansion is massive, and features an abundance of amenities spread over 1.65 acres. Everything about this dwelling is grand, including the front entryway, the large loggia off of the formal living room (which leads, through a row of archways, to the pool), the multi-level glass wall next to the main staircase, and the Borghini marble in the main suite’s bathroom.
Downstairs on the subterranean level, there is a 15-person movie theater, a wine cellar, and a sleek nine-car garage that can be entered from the street. (This is separate from the driveway which leads to a round motor court outside the front door.)
