International Burch University, through its Social Sciences Research Center, and with the Technical University of Burgeland from Austriais implementing an EU-funded project “Project Development Facility - PDF”.
As Bosnia and Herzegovina lags significantly behind the EU average in innovation and research and lacks a financial, legislative, and strategic environment conducive to innovation and research, this project aims to improve the state of innovation and research in Bosnia and Herzegovina through supporting universities in developing project proposals for the European Union’s framework programmes for innovation and research (i.e., Cooperation in Science and Technology, Eureka, and Horizon Europe). The project will develop educational content for research project proposal development, train 100 academic staff from ten universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in developing 40 project proposals, and work with key stakeholders to increase funding and support for research in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This project receives funding from the European Union through its Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance. It is a part of a comprehensive program - Facilitating Cooperation in Higher Education - supporting the higher education sector with three other projects empowering universities to support EU integrations of BiH, introducing student research mobilities, and developing career management skills among students.
