Professor Gentjana Taraj held an online lecture for the students of English Language and Literature Department

To encourage academic growth and networking, Department of English
Language and Literature
organized an online guest lecture on the 7th of May 2020. English
language and literature students from both Aleksander Moisiu University and Department
of English Language and Literature at International Burch University attended the lecture.
Prof. Dr. Gentjana Taraj, from the Aleksander Moisiu University of Durres, delivered an online
lecture about relative clauses, reflecting on their comprehension and analysis through
theoretical and empirical perspectives. Gaining insight into the essence of the presentation
content, students continually participated in discussions and activities presented by prof.
Taraj throughout the entire lecture. Ultimately, students from both institutions shared their
experiences with online classes and briefly discussed characteristics of their native
languages.

“Having the opportunity to listen to this lecture was rewarding. I think all students
can benefit from a “change of scenery” when it comes to the teaching styles – I, for once,
really enjoyed interacting with the professor and the students from Albania. It was a
productive shared experience, and I am sure our department is going to continue the
practice of creating links between different universities, countries, and cultures. I am
looking forward to more of these lectures in the future!”.

said Sadžida Ramović, a fourth-year student from the Department of English Language and Literature

“It was very amusing to see how professors from other countries work. It was also very
nice to see that the classes function regularly at their university and just like our university,
they seem to have no difficulties in organizing online lectures. I found it very interesting
though, and would like to have the opportunity to attend more of these classes in the
future.”

said Amila Dautbašić, a fourth-year student from the Department of English
Language and Literature.
