During 2014, fifty leading world scientists published book on English language: Forensic DNA Application: An Interdisciplinary Perspective, for leading edition company CRC Press Book. Editors were Prof. Dr. Dragan Primorac and Prof. Dr. Moses Schanfield, and one of the assisting editors on first two chapters was Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović. Considering huge success of this book on international level, leading regional edition company “Školska Knjiga” from Croatia, decided to publish this book on Croatian language, thus covering the whole region. Translation of this book was executed by thirty leading scientists from region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia), and editors of this edition are Prof. Dr. Dragan Primorac an Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović.
Generally speaking, scientists fom B&H gave huge contribution for publishing this book. Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović was coauthor for English edition of this book, in first two chapters, while in regional edition he was translation editor, together with Prof. Dr. Dragan Primorac. Besides above mentioned group of thirty regional scientists, BURCH University staff actively assisted as well. Here we need to mention distinguished members of Department for Gentics and Bioengineering: Adna Ašić, Larisa Bešić, Elma Ferić, Imer Muhović also Ph.D. Belma Kalamujić and Ph.D. Lejla Mulahasanović, recognized BH scientists in Germany.
Besides team of present professors, opening word on this event was given by His Excelency Ivan Del Vechio, ambasador of Republic of Croatia in B&H, and Dr. Ante Žužul, president of Supervisory Board of “Školska knjiga”.
The book was further presented by an outstanding member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts and a full member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts Prof. Dr. Mirsada Hukić, Minister of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs of B&H Aljoša Čampara, Minister of the Federal Ministry of Health of B&H Prof. Dr. Vjekoslav Mandic, the Chief of Prosecutor’s Office of B&H Gordana Tadić, Dean of the Faculty of Law University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Borislav Petrović, Rector of International Burch University Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović, and research associate of the Institute of Anthropology of the Republic of Croatia, President of the Committee on International Relations of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences in USA, President of the Governing Council of the Hospital of St. Catherine and professor at Penn State University and New Haven, United States, and at universities in Split, Osijek and Rijeka in Republic of Croatia, Prof. Dr. Dragan Primorac.
