On May 29, 2020 the English Language and Literature Department announced the opening of the
competition in micro-fiction writing – Write it up!
High school students were invited to participate and send a short story based on one of the four
topics offered. Many of them applied, and the Judging Panel had a difficult time choosing the
best out of all the amazing stories that flew into our inbox.
Seven contestants have been selected to participate in the final round – an online meet held
today, on July 3, where they presented their stories and, together with the Judging Panel,
discussed the writing process, their ideas, difficulties and challenges.
These are the three contestants whose stories were judged to be the most original and creative
ones:
Congratulations to the lucky winners – may your creativity only grow and take you to many
amazing places.
To the other contestants – we extend our deepest gratitude for your participation in this
competition. Be sure to join us in our future adventures.
