Celebrating 15 Years of Excellence: Honoring Distinguished Alumni of International Burch University
International Burch University proudly honored outstanding alumni at its annual graduation ceremony, held on June 30, 2023, in celebration of its 15th anniversary. The ceremony showcased the exceptional achievements of distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions to their fields and communities. Recipients of the alumni awards were:
Haris Magrdžija - Alumni Community Service Award: Recognized for his outstanding contributions as the current Migration Coordinator at the Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Kenan Kraković and Ajla Džanko - Exceptional Young Alumni Award: Acknowledged for their remarkable accomplishments, with Kenan pursuing a molecular neuroscience Ph.D. at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and Ajla conducting her Master's thesis at the University of Oxford.
Alumni Research Award: Harun Šiljak - Alumni Research Award: Honored for his noteworthy research work as an assistant professor at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland.
Ana Tankosić and Eldin Milak - Alumni International Achievement Award: Recognized for their international success, Ana serves as a Sessional Academic and Research
Assistant at Curtin University in Australia, and Eldin is a Korea Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Media, Creative Arts, and Social Inquiry at Curtin University, conducting research in Australia and New Zealand.
While some award recipients were unable to attend the ceremony in person due to international commitments, they prepared videos through which they expressed their gratitude and reflected on their experiences at IBU, inspiring current and future students alike. These exceptional alumni serve as role models, embodying the transformative power of education and the limitless possibilities it offers. Through their accomplishments, they bring pride and distinction to IBU, showcasing its commitment to excellence and fostering future generations of success.
