On 12–13 September 2025, International Burch University hosted the second in-person meeting within the framework of the CIRCE Project – Counteracting Accent Discrimination Practices in Education. The event gathered representatives from the project consortium, including International Burch University, University of Siena and National Research Council of Italy from Italy, University of Hamburg and University of Münster from Germany and University of Évora from Portugal.
The two-day meeting provided a platform for reviewing project activities carried out thus far, discussing preliminary results, and coordinating future steps. Special emphasis was placed on the design of teaching resources, and the preparation of upcoming teacher workshops.
By hosting this meeting, International Burch University demonstrated its active involvement in promoting inclusive educational practices and addressing issues of accent discrimination across European educational contexts. In addition to the working sessions, the consortium members enjoyed a social dinner in the beautiful ambiance of Kilim Restaurant and participated in a guided city tour, which provided an excellent opportunity for further exchange and team building.
