From 2 to 4 June 2026, the Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia at International Burch University successfully organised the fourth edition of Kreativ Fest, a student festival of visual arts that continues to bring together students, academics, artists, and professionals from across the creative industries.
Kreativ Fest serves as the closing event of the academic year and represents the culmination of the efforts of students, teaching assistants, and academic staff within the Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia. Over the course of three days, the festival featured a diverse programme including exhibitions, guest lectures, student film screenings, and awards recognising outstanding student achievements.
This year’s visual identity was created by fourth-year student Sandra Vasilj, whose design provided a contemporary visual framework for the entire event.
The festival officially opened with the annual student exhibition in the IBU Gallery, where visitors had the opportunity to view projects produced throughout the academic year across various fields of design and visual communication. Following the exhibition opening, student films created within the Graphic Design and Multimedia, Film and Video Production, and Digital Communications and Public Relations programmes were screened.
A particular highlight of this year’s programme was the series of lectures delivered by distinguished professionals from different sectors of the creative industries. Students and visitors had the opportunity to attend inspiring presentations by Dino Hujić, Imelda Ramović, Nedžad Begović, Maja Topčagić, and Vladimir Milivojević Boogie, who shared their professional experiences and insights into contemporary creative practice.
One of the most significant additions to this year’s festival was the introduction of awards recognising exceptional student work. Students who demonstrated outstanding achievement throughout the academic year were recognised in the following categories:
Design – Halima Išerić (Second Year)
Web Design – Sandra Vasilj (Fourth Year)
Photography – Natalija Simović (Fourth Year)
Video – Azra Topić (Fourth Year)
Illustration – Alina Gradaščević (Third Year)
Animation – Erna Šujić (Fourth Year)
Kreativ Fest once again confirmed its importance as a platform that bridges education and industry, providing students with opportunities to showcase their work to a wider audience and establish valuable connections with professionals from diverse creative fields. Through exhibitions, lectures, and screenings, the festival demonstrated both the quality and diversity of student work within the Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia, while highlighting the importance of continuous investment in the development of creative industries and emerging talent.
The fourth edition of Kreativ Fest concluded with strong attendance and enthusiastic participation, further reinforcing its position as one of the most significant student events dedicated to visual arts at International Burch University.
