International Burch University (IBU) in Sarajevo hosted a prestigious graduation ceremony for its graduates, postgraduates, and doctoral candidates at Hotel Hills on July 5th, 2024, highlighting 16 years of continuous growth, academic excellence, and entrepreneurial spirit.
IBU proudly celebrated a new generation of students who not only achieved outstanding academic results but also demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit. The ceremony underscored the university's commitment to preparing students for today's complex challenges, encouraging them to identify opportunities and contribute to society through innovation and leadership. With this solemn event, IBU reaffirmed its role as a creator of future leaders and positive change in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Professor Dr. Mersid Poturak, the Rector of International Burch University, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit instilled in their students. "We encourage our students not only to achieve academic success but also to develop strong character and independent thinking demanded by the modern world. Our entrepreneurial model has prepared you to recognize and seize opportunities, turning challenges into steps towards success," said Prof. Poturak. He encouraged graduates to continue learning, innovating, leading, and making a positive impact on society.
The ceremony was further honoured by Mr. Timothy Donald Fisher, the CEO of Stirling Education Group, who shared his thoughts and words of support. "Your education at International Burch University has equipped you with the skills and mindset to navigate complex circumstances confidently and creatively," Fisher remarked. He stressed the importance of embracing change, fostering innovation, and congratulated the graduates, emphasizing that success is defined not only by titles or salaries but by positive influence on the world and the lives of others.
Professor Dr. Adna Mesihović, Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, also addressed the audience, highlighting the significance of International Burch University in educating excellent students ready for the challenges of the international market: "This ceremony is not only an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of young professionals but also to highlight the continuous success of International Burch University in education, research, innovation, and building global connections. The graduates, postgraduates, and doctoral candidates we celebrate today symbolize our future, based on knowledge, ethics, and ambition. The ceremony was attended by numerous guests and university partners, including rectors from other Bosnian universities, as well as representatives from embassies and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
