Third International Erasmus+ Week at IBU

Third International Erasmus+ Week at IBU

From June 17th to 21st, International Burch University proudly hosted the 3rd International Erasmus+ Week, welcoming partners from Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Latvia, and Germany. This event aimed to promote cooperation and knowledge sharing and strengthen ties between participating institutions through various funding schemes.

The five-day program started on Monday evening with an introduction to “Bosnian ćejf” in the serene IBU yard. The official opening on Tuesday featured a keynote by Rector Prof. Dr. Mersid Poturak, alongside faculty representatives and deans. An enlightening presentation about Bosnia and Herzegovina beyond mainstream media by Prof. Lejla Ramić-Mesihović set the tone for the week.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in various internationalization activities, attended the ICESOS scientific conference and participated in project presentations. A highlight was the workshop on navigating culture and fostering cooperation, led by Prof. Dr. Silvana Tokić from the University of Split, Croatia.

The programme also included fun and networking activities, allowing guests to experience Bosnian cuisine at the traditional restaurant Inat Kuća.

The event was organised by the Office for International Cooperation and Projects team, Emina Mekić and Nedima Krndžija.

The event was a resounding success, and IBU looks forward to hosting many more events like this.
