The Universidad de Extremadura (UEx) was founded in 1973 and is closely connected to the development of the Extremadura region in Spain. Today, the university includes four campuses located in Badajoz, Cáceres, Mérida, and Plasencia. More than 24,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students study at UEx, supported by around 1,500 academic staff and over 800 administrative and technical personnel.
